The fashion world’s love affair with singer Lana Del Ray has not gone unnoticed. Gaining as much notoriety for her eclectic, old-school Hollywood stylings as for her music, the ‘Video Games’ star is proving to be the perfect amalgamation of the two worlds.
Not only have her songs been used as the backdrop to models sashaying down the spring/summer 12 catwalks – most notably at Christopher Kane who is renowned for his musical choices – but covetable fashion brand Mulberry also named the Del Ray bag after her earlier this year. Having been signed by Next Model Management, back in January, it was always inevitable that the sultry, pouty Del Ray would be making moves in fashion circles, and the latest slew of rumours that Lana is the new face of H&M, are exactly what we have been waiting for.
Initially published in the New York Post, rumours that Del Ray has been in New York shooting the autumn/winter 12 campaign have been neither confirmed nor denied by the Swedish high street fashion chain, who have stated;
“There is always a lot of speculation on our upcoming campaigns and collaborations and we do not like to comment on rumours. We have lots of exciting H&M campaigns coming up this autumn and we will announce these at the start of the new season.”
