The American chain J.Crew is to open a new store on Regent Street late next year – the very first of the brand’s stores outside North America. The 17,000 square foot space is on the corner of Regent Street and New Burlington Street in Mayfair, opposite fellow American chain Anthropologie, and will contain both their mens and womenswear.
J.Crew’s chairman Millard “Mickey” Drexler said, “London was an easy decision. It’s a place where people understand and respect the integrity of great style and great design”.
Style and design will abound in the women’s shop, which will be filled with an edited selection of only the most high quality pieces from the range, including special fabrics and prints, Italian cashmere and a dedicated handbag and a shoe salon. The menswear section will carry the full range,and the brand’ popular kids’ range Crewcuts will also have a section in the store.
