We’re pretty much in love with Jennifer Lawrence. She’s the actress who has, in the past year, stormed Hollywood first with her portrayal of Katniss Everdon in the cult-status Hunger Games and most recently, in her Golden Globe winning role alongside Bradley Cooper in Silver Linings Playbook. And by the looks of these first images from her new role as ambassador and face of French fashion house Christian Dior’s Miss Dior line, she’s set to take over the fashion world in exactly the same vein as she has the film world.
Wearing little other than a delicate netted veil and a beautifully placed, oversized satin bow around her neck, the black and white shot captured by Willy Vanderperre shows a more vulnerable, delicate side to the actress. Whilst the second image released, of Lawrence wearing the classic Dior tuxedo suit clutching a cobalt blue Miss Dior handbag, as styled by Olivier Rizzo perfectly captures the quiet but stunning sensibilities of new Creative Director Raf Simons.
The campaign simply sets out hearts racing for what’s to come this weekend at the Oscar’s where the actress is nominated for Best Actress, and more importantly, what Jennifer will be wearing.
