Karl Lagerfeld is undoubtedly one of the most talented designers in the fashion industry. Known as the Kaiser, the German Chanel designer is an emperor of style, creating multiple fashion lines and photographing unique fashion types. Now Karl is toeing the line of celebrity and political artist.

As a designer it is of course necessary that he be able to sketch out his ideas, but it seems Karl’s talent goes beyond clothing. Karl Lagerfeld arose bright and early post-American election last Wednesday morning to sketch the re-elected Obama for German newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

Karl shows Barack Obama, in crisp chef whites proudly presently a cake modeled on The White House. King Karl describes President Obama as “inspiring” in profile, and he entitled the sketch as “The Biggest Chef in the World: 10×5 Stars”.Obama joins the long list of A-list icons to be sketched by the Kaiser including his wife Michelle, the Queen, Steve Jobs, the Duchess of Cambridge, and the iconic Coco Chanel.
