November 15, 2012

Talking to U.S chat show host Ellen DeGeneres on The Ellen Show, Brit actress and Chanel muse, Keira Knightley opened up about just how ‘terrifying’ planning a wedding has been. The Anna Karenina actress is engaged to James Righton, co-vocalist in the London-based band Klaxons and having been engaged since May explained,

“The problem is that ever since [the engagement], everyone keeps going, ‘So when is it going to happen and what’s the dress like? I’m just not one of those girls that’s had the kind of fantasy wedding thing.”

“We haven’t planned anything and it’s all quite terrifying and I sort of looked it up on the internet: ‘If you’re getting married, what should you do? I really don’t have a clue.”

“I don’t get what the big deal is. You say, “I do.” I do. You drink a bit. On the internet there are things like bridal tea parties – I mean, what is a bridal tea party? I’ve never had a tea party in my life,” said Knightley. “The idea that you should suddenly have a tea party because you’re getting married just really confused me. The whole thing is kind of quite confusing, I think.”

But we don’t feel all too sorry for the Pirates of the Caribbean star. As muse to Karl Lagerfeld, we’re sure she won’t be short of wedding dress design offer or two. And that really is a fantasy wedding thing. . in our eyes at least.
