Wearing a white Balmain body suit, model sensation Kendall Jenner is this season’s cover star for Harper’s Bazaar. This is rather special feature as the stunning photoshoot was actually photographed by Karl Lagerfeld himself (who knew?) and the magazine includes a candid conversation between the two…

In a conversation with Kendall and Harper’s Bazaar Editor Laura, Karl reckons he wasn’t very polite during his first encounter with the model, “I have to leave the room because she has to say something nice. I was so rude to her.” But Lagerfeld soon had lovely things to say about Kendall after he got to know her “There was a good feeling coming from her. And I don’t see that with everybody! There is something very warm, human, and sweet about her.”
Lagerfeld funnily reveals he apparently watched Keeping Up With The Kardashians once in its early episodes and then shortly decided never to do so again. Fair enough.

It’s clear that Kendall looks up to Karl, and we like how she speaks about him and his work so fondly; “I had heard a lot from Cara Delevingne about how funny he is, how he’s normal and just a cool guy. Now every time we get to work together, the relationship gets better.”
The pair reveal some other fascinating facts: Karl talks about how his contracts with Chanel and Fendi are lifelong; “Everyone wants to know and hopes I retire so they can get the jobs.”, how he picks out all of his own outfits but doesn’t have a kitchen and how he lowers his signature ponytail each night to sleep on the “most beautiful Egyptian-cotton antique sheets in the world.”

For Jenner, Lagerfeld and Brown’s full conversation including what Karl was like as a child, what Kendall dreamed to be when she grew up, the pairs’ nightly routine, and what music Kendall lives for – head on over to Harper’s Bazaar.
