How many of us can remember falling over as a child, or hurting our fingers or toes and Mum saying ‘Awe, kiss it better’? It’s a natural response and as a child the distraction really did seem to take away all the hurt. When beauty editor Carmel Allen’s daughter Josephine was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive form of childhood cancer, she seemed to spend a lot of time saying ‘kiss it better’. And so the it was that the Kiss It Better Appeal supported by Clinique, was born.

The appeal raises funds which go directly to much-needed research at Great Ormond Street Hospital where the amazing team of scientists and doctors work tirelessly on new treatments and cures for childhood cancers which are sadly far-from-rare, but not necessarily at the forefront of research at the major drug companies.
Clinique has, once again, put together a special limited edition Kisses from Clinique set which features the best-selling shades from their Superbalm Moisturizing Gloss collection. This set will be raising funds for the appeal and will be available from House of Fraser stores nationwide and also online during February 2013. Unlike many products a whopping 50% of the RRP goes directly to the Kiss It Better Appeal and in addition Clinique will also be donating £2 for every lip gloss and lipstick sold in House of Fraser stores during February.
