We’ve all done it. That massive flick, or rather swoosh, of the hair, a batting of the lashes and a sultry rendition of ‘You’re worth it’ to the mirror. The L’Oréal Paris slogan has been voiced from our TV screens by the beauty royalty likes of Beyonce Knowles, Eva Longoria, Juilianne Moore and Doutzen Kroes to name but a few, and now it is the turn of 29 year old Dutch model Lara Stone, who L’Oréal have recently announced as their new global Spokesperson.
Lara has come a long way since being discovered on the Paris Metro when she was only 14. She has walked the runway for labels as prestigious as Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs and Fendi, as well as enjoying a time as a ‘semi-exclusive’ for Prada, which meant that she could not walk in any other shows at New York fashion week, or any shows in Milan prior to the Prada show. L’Oréal the latest in a long line of big names that have looked to boast of the leggy blonde beauty as their own.
And Lara herself is bubbling with enthusiasm at the thought of her latest venture, she commented ‘I am so flattered to join L’Oréal Paris. Getting the chance to say ‘You’re worth it’ to women around the world is a great honour. L’Oréal Paris is a brand that has always understood that beauty and personality go hand in hand. I totally identify myself to the Brand values considering my own history and career’. It’s back to business for Lara who gave birth to her first child in May, it seems she simply cannot wait and neither, for that matter, can we.
