It’s no secret that model Lily Aldridge has it going on. She’s a VS Angel and the face of Velvet by Graham & Spencer. Working for the brand since 2004, this year she has transformed from model to designer with her first collaboration line of clothing debuting today.
The style of the collection is a mix of Graham & Spencer’s basic modern pieces and Aldridge’s hippie-rocker look. It’s been said the outcome is “laid-back luxe” and well, really who wouldn’t want to look like Aldridge? There’s a military jacket, lace dress, knit jumper, lots of comfty tees and some ‘Parisian chic’ pieces.
Aldridge has been in a dozen or more campaigns for Graham & Spencer, so it’s really not a surprise this collaboration came about.
“As a model you have such an amazing glimpse into fashion and what the designers are creating and how it fits,” she said. “I wanted to create a line that was cool and easy to wear. You can wear every piece of my collection for day or night.”
She’s given each piece a little TLC by naming them after her loved ones, like her younger sister, Ruby. How very angelic of her!
