We knew that the L’Oreal girls would be out in full force at Cannes, but Blake Lively’s first appearance was something else. She’s a Chanel belle, so a couture gown was a must. We’ve seen the optical illusion address on the likes of Keira Knightley and Rihanna this season, but on Blake it came in the form of couture.
Pastel and pearlised sequins glistened from the beautifully fitted gown, contrasting with the bubblegum pink shoes and the light silk scarf that wound its way across Blake’s sun kissed forearms before flowing down towards to red carpet she was gracing. And gracing is the perfect word. Everything about the dress complimented her stature, her curves, even her whiter than white smile.
We can’t wait to see what else her wardrobe holds for her stay in the South of France.
