To celebrate the 160th anniversary of Louis Vuitton, the French brand has selected an arsenal of creative geniuses to reimagine the iconic monogram. Among the team of collaborators working toward creating a series of limited edition bags is Chanel and Fendi’s creative director, Karl Lagerfeld. Designers Christian Louboutin, Marc Newson and Rei Kawakubo have also been recruited alongside photographer Cindy Sherman and architect and Frank Gehry. Labeled The Icon and the Iconoclasts, the project is due to launch in October at approximately £1,600-£3,200. Although the designs for the monogram and bags have yet to be released, we are positive these limited edition pieces are sure to be in high demand.
