Lulu Guinness, the Brit designer renowned for her lip-motif handbags, has partnered up with ‘explosive’ artist Joseph Steele for Paint Project, which aims to fuse together art and fashion.

On Friday, Guinness celebrated the collaboration at the Paint Project launch party which featured supportive celebrities including Laura Whitmore, Jameela Jamil, Zoe Hardman and many more.

“Making these bags has been all about creating something beautiful out of a moment of chaos. It’s been an amazing experience, we’ve created around 180 individual works of art you can carry around with you,” said artist, Joseph Steele.

The collaboration has controlled splatters of paint that will decorate three of Guinness’ clutches. These will then be auctioned on eBay for charity. Simultaneously, a limited edition collection of 180 paint project clutch bags, each signed and numbered by Steele and Guinness, priced at £295 each, will be available to purchase in stores and online from 12 July.
