Lupita Nyong’o was one of the most seen faces at the podium during this year’s awards season, and it seems the media world have taken her pretty smile to their hearts. The first reveal of US Vogue’s July 2014 cover shows the 12 Years A Slave beauty beaming brightly at the camera as a summery setting blurs into the background behind her, a perfect shot from photographer Mikael Jansson.
We brought you a profile of Lupita back in January (read the feature here), and the lady has been more than busy since then. She is currently filming two movies. First up is Southpaw, a film about a boxer trying to fight his way to the top, in which she will star alongside her fellow A-list likes of Rachel McAdams, Jake Gyllenhaal, Forest Whitaker and even 50 Cent. Then there’s Star Wars: Episode VII, due for release in 2015. We don’t even need to imply how big that is. It’s even set to star Harrison Ford himself!
Add this to her new campaign with Lancome and you’ve got a serious star-in-fast-ascendance type situation. We can’t wait to see what more this Kenyan beauty has to bring out of the bag.
