In advance of this year’s British Fashion Awards, the British Fashion Council have announced that he of covetable footwear fame, Manolo Blahnik CBE will receive the 2012 Outstanding Achievement Award.
Voted for by a panel of leading internationally-acclaimed journalists and retailers the award celebrates Blahnik’s contribution to both the British and global fashion industries.

With a career that spans almost four decades, Blahnik is one of the world’s most influential footwear designers. No stranger to receiving British Fashion accolades, he has won the British Fashion Awards Accessory Designer of the Year three times, and was also awarded the honorary CBE for his services to British fashion.
Popularised by regular references within Sex and the City, Manolo’s shoes amassed a cult and fervent following around the world and his signature style aesthetics became synonymous with the ultimate in luxury, style and indulgence.
Manolo Blahnik CBE said, “It is a great honour to be receiving this award from the British Fashion Council. To be recognised for doing something I love is really wonderful.”
