One of the extra treats about award season in LA is the gifting suites. If you go with a celebrity you get more or less everything you want free. If you go as media you still have a good chance.
I went to the HBO suite and discovered a whole room full of Marc Jacobs make up, which will launch in Harrods at the beginning of February. It was one of those gasp in make up orgasm moment. The range is beautiful. So far it only sells in Sephora where I went soon after being introduced to it.

The Velvet Noir Mascara is amazing. Juicy, shiny, black, velvet lashes. Marc Jacobs cast Winona Rider in a beauty campaign to show her beautiful, luminous, mascara-ed lashes. Already this mascara is cinematic. It is a dramatic look. A beautiful brush means it is quick and easy to apply. It is one of those ‘I Can’t Live Without’ mascaras.
The Marc Jacobs lipsticks are also beautiful. Gorgeously packaged in black and chrome. They look like crayons in a silver case. The colours are moisturizing and long lasting; a phrase you rarely see in the same sentence.

The foundations are also in gorgeous nuanced shades. Genius Gel Supercharged Foundation is a breakthrough formula; it has a gorgeous coverage yet weightless. An infusion of soft-focused powder reflects light so once again you look like you are in a movie. This is infused with multi-vitamins for hydration. It leaves the skin feeling plumped and bouncy.
The final must-have is remedy, a concealer stick that fits in a handbag for the ultimate touching up. It’s beautiful in its design – it looks like a high tech pencil – it feels cooling and creamy on the skin.

Make up artist Gilbert Soliz is a man with huge talent – in less than ten minutes he had transformed my tired look to Red Carpet Ready.
The colours – the texture – the look – all gorgeous.
