Danish steak restaurant chain Mash is to come to London, with the opening of a site in Soho this autumn. MASH stands for Modern American Steak House and was founded by Jesper Boelskifte in 2009 in Denmark.
The new 300 cover restaurant will be in an Art Deco building in Brewer Street with its own separate bar serving signature cocktails and own menu and opening in November this year.
The brainchild of Copenhagen Concepts, which also owns Le Sommelier and Umami, Mash has five restaurants in Copenhagen and two outside the Danish capital.
Mash London will see the brand export its offer of premium quality steaks and an international wine list. The menu will include American, Uruguayan and Danish style cuisine plus Wagyu beef from Australia. They are leaving the British beef to Hawksmoor for now, but let’s see if that changes.
