Last night, on the red carpet of the Women In film 2012 Crystal & Lucy Awards, Meryl Streep was caught off guard as Access Hollywood‘s Shaun Robinson, asked, if we were going to see a Devil Wears Prada 2.
Meryl, who was there in support of friend Viola Davis, who picked up the highly acclaimed Excellence In Film Award, appeared notably flustered. Responding;
“Yeah. . no. . . no, no, is there one? I’ve never heard about it. But, sure, I mean I’d have to the fucking weight first, but I would do that, yeah.”
So there we have it, surely, (hopefully) the seed has been sown for the making of a sequel to the beloved 2006 chick-flick that earned Streep rave reviews from critics and also a number of award nominations, including her record-setting 14th Oscar bid and a Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Comedy or Musical.
