If there’s one collection to keep an eye on this year it is the Michael Kors beauty collection. Already famed for the fashion house’s illustrious designs, Michael Kors launched their first beauty line in April 2013.
Kors himself said of the collection that was separated into three different lines, those of sexy, sporty and glam, that “sexy, sporty and glam – have always been the DNA of Michael Kors, and in a strange way, the Michael Kors women really is all three of those things – it’s just that she feels more strongly about one of them at certain given times” says Kors. “So I asked myself, how can we express that both with color and with fragrance?” The collections boast their own fragrance as well as two lip lacquers, two glosses and two polishes.
If that wasn’t enough, House of Fraser launched the first UK Michael Kors Beauty counter in their flagship Oxford Street store in December. The counter will stock the full Michael Kors beauty, body, sun and fragrance collections, all of which are also available exclusively online at HouseofFraser.co.uk.
We see the Michael Kors designs grace the catwalks each season to applause and acclaim. Each look is always complimented by beauty designs created by some of the most talented professionals in the business. Now we have our chance to emulate those looks, whether you choose to be sexy, sporty, glam, or beautiful combination of all three.
As Kors told WWD, he is ‘wardrobing in the beauty world the way [he does] in clothing and accessories’. Aren’t we lucky things!
