Downton Abbey’s leading lady Michelle Dockery is the cover star of Harpers Bazaar this October – and she looks absolutely divine. The actress, who grew up in Romford, has been photographed amongst floral wreaths and wearing a Ralph Lauren lacey number on the front cover and the likes of luxury designers Valentino and Delpozo, Jimmy Choo, Dior and more.
As we will all mourn the end of series Downton Abbey, Michelle Dockery reveals her relationship with her famous character Lady Mary, and as the season draws to a close; Dockery looks at life beyond Downton, and towards a new beginning..
Apparently Lady Mary is in for one last surprise in Downton Abbey’s sixth and final series – Michelle uncovered to Bazaar. She has starred in the ITV period drama since the very beginning, describing this finale as a big one. She told Harpers Bazaar “I’ve got such a great story – Lady Mary’s bite kind of comes back again. When I read the scripts, they really surprised me.”
The stunning 33 year old actress, also shared her excitement at returning to the London stage this year; describing the end of Downton felt more like “the beginning of something than the end”.
The final and sixth Downton Abbey series starts on ITV1 on the 20th September. Dockery reveals; “How Mary is and what happens is quite shocking. There are always twists and turns in the plot — there are every year — but this year particularly, there’s a bit of a U-turn that happens with Mary, and it’s amazing.”“.
