Who They Are
MILK Beauty, why call it Milk? I love the reason why. One of the most historic beauty icons, Cleopatra, used to bathe in milk and made it one of the first ever beauty treatments back in ancient Egypt. Secondly, milk was one of the first products to be delivered to your door, see, that’s clever! All of MILK’s therapists are specially trained by MILK they have an in-house beauty academy, so each person is good at every treatment on the MILK menu.
Founded after financial corporate gal, Lucy Patterson, was tired of the lack of quality beauty services that were available at convenient times, she quit her job and pursued her dream of MILK Beauty. Since then, they have grown into one of London’s go-to’s for at home beauty, so we just had to try them out ourselves.
Treatments
There are just so many treatments to chose from, and they are reasonably priced, here’s a breakdown of what you can book. MILK offers three different types of manicures/pedicures: 15 minute nails, normal manicure, or shellac. Facial options include PRIORI or CoffeeBerry, with the option of a Hydrating Radiance Boost. Massages range from 30-minute back and shoulders experiences to 2 hour full body wind downs. As for waxing, no place isn’t covered by the MILK beauty team, and let’s not forget about lash and brow tints and spray tans for a golden glow come summer time. Want to share these treatments with everyone you think that needs it? MILK also offers corporate events such as pop up nail bars, as well as group parties, and service subscriptions for people who want to keep pampering going on a regular basis.
I had a one hour full body massage with Natalie, who arrived 10 minutes before my treatment with all he equipment ready to be set up in my living room. Towels, music and oils all provided, my massage was using Vita Coco coconut oil which is one of the most versatile products we know. I had it in my smoothie that morning and by the evening I had been covered in it head to toe and went to bed in it on my hair as a mask. Natalie was great, she asked me exactly how I wanted my massage and apart from the bit where she attacked my knots around my neck (by my request) I was totally relaxed and couldn’t wait to just slip into my pyjamas and stay home for the evening. Having someone come to your home is the ultimate in follow up relaxation and I will definitely booking this service again.
