Holding true to its promise, Italian brand Miu Miu continues to create original and extraordinary short films honouring women. Most recently, the fifth film of the Women’s Tales series, which launched last year, was released on their website.
The Door by Ava DuVernay shows just how powerful women’s friendship is. Watch as a group of girlfriends help to fight off their friend’s divorce-induced depression by sharing fun-loving life-embracing attitudes. They dress up, go out, and dance, all the while expressing the importance of feminine relations, friendship, love and laughter.
“Films by women – whether comedy or drama, documentary or narrative – illustrate the human experience through a woman’s voice, through a woman’s eyes, through a woman’s creativity,” said DuVernay. “Experiences which are often marginalised, fabricated or simply ignored.”
