I Am The Greatest is the new O2 exhibition showcasing the extraordinary life and career of the world’s most famous heavyweight boxer, Muhammad Ali.
The showcase will use more than 100 special artefacts from Ali’s personal life to help illustrate his turbulent life story; both inside and outside the ring.
The 74-year-old is even expected to make a last visit to the UK to attend the opening himself, in March, with the support of his wife, Lonnie.
Items for you to cast your eyes on will include a pair of gold boxing gloves given to Elvis and signed by Ali in 1973, his “Three Times World Champion” ring from 1978 and more.. The exhibition will feature rare and unseen video footage, photographs and personal memorabilia. There will be a full-sized boxing ring to give you the opportunity to get an up-close and personal look at Ali’s work ethic and revolutionary boxing techniques.
Lonnie Ali says: “Muhammad and I are very excited to be part of a project that will connect Muhammad with a whole new generation of fans. The O2 has done an incredible job working with the Muhammad Ali Center to share Muhammad’s legacy and ideals with audiences around the world. The family is anticipating that we will attend this tremendous celebration of the six core principles that shaped his life.”
