My new favourite Murad product is the Hydro-Dynamic Quenching Essence. It’s a skin thirst-quencher, a hydration boost with watermelon and apple. It smells and feels ridiculously good. It goes on like silk and you layer it on before your moisturiser. It instantly plumps the face and makes it feel alive. It soaks your skin in moisture while a probiotic yeast enhances the skin’s ability to produce hyaluronic acid.
A couple of years ago I’d never heard of hyaluronic acid but now I know it’s a go-to for the skin to look smooth contoured and silky. I love the feel of the skin when the quenching essence goes on. It helps any moisturiser do its work and I particularly love it before going into anything that I know will be a skin-drying experience like air conditioning, like the tube, like a plane.
Last time I came off a ten-hour flight from LA my skin had literally molted, flakes of it like body dandruff everywhere. I was ashamed, I felt like I was an extra in The Singing Detective and this is what it did all over me. So, I think all planes should come with a complementary quenching Essence, maybe you could have it instead of the meal – it’s certainly more nourishing. When I like something I use a lot of it and this is my must-have product. I’ve used it in pints and it’s still going. I am obsessed with this !
