I’ve been browsing gold earrings again, does anyone else find jewellery shopping just a bit too easy and quite relaxing? Can I call it my version of meditation, as long as I don’t spend too much obviously!?
I find smaller, more every day styles easier to wear and they don’t just sit in my jewellery box gathering dust. Here are some of my new finds, it does help if you have multiple piercings so you can really decorate the whole ear and play around with the combinations.
These are so cute; rainbow pave gold plated mini hoops. If you like to wear your hair up you’ll also love this snake cuff which climbs up your ear.

Another of my favourite jewellery brands is Dinny Hall, crushing on these huggie hoops from their Suffragette collection which is designed to showcase suffragette colours: violet for dignity, green for hope and white for purity. A percentage of the Suffragette collection’s proceeds are donated throughout the year to support Women’s Aid, the national charity working to end domestic abuse against women and children.
While I am looking for myself I am also thinking of getting some Christmas shopping so I can spread the spending out more this year. Oh how I miss having a lovely Saturday out with friends and looking in the windows of all those gorgeous shops like Tiffany. I am in love with the Elsa Peretti emerald stud earrings, I wonder who might be looking at them for me?! I am definitely adding them to my wish-list.
How to look after your gold earrings
Soak the earrings in warm soapy water for around 30 minutes.
You can add a teaspoon of baking soda, but don’t ever scrub, remember gold is a soft metal you don’t want to cause any damage.
Gently brush the earrings with a soft toothbrush to remove any dirt and debris.
Rinse with the earrings with clean water.
Leave to air dry for about 30 minutes.
Dry using a soft cloth.
