Updated: Natalie Portman Marries Black Swan Choreographer

August 6, 2012

This weekend, in a secret ceremony in California, Academy Award winning actress Natalie Portman married, the father of her son Aleph,  Benjamin Millepied, the choreographer and bit part actor that she met on the set of Black Swan.

The intimate and laid back ceremony was the result of Natalie and Benjamin wanting to keep their marriage celebration as private as possible. A wedding guest told E! News, “The beauty of the weekend was it was kept a secret, everyone was relaxed and had a great time because of it.”

Whilst details of the ceremony itself may continue to be a secret, jeweller Jamie Wolf hasn’t been quite so tight-lipped about the couple’s wedding rings. Back in February, Wolf, one of Millepied’s dancer friends, confirmed that she had designed Portman’s engagement ring – which aside from being something of a sparkler is eco-friendly and made with recycled materials and conflict-free diamonds.  The ring, which is made of recycled platinum, features an antique diamond surrounded by certified conflict-free stones – perfectly suited to Portman’s earth-loving lifestyle.

Portman opted for a simple, yet sweet look on her big day wearing a white, tea length, long-sleeved gown by Rodarte, with nude shoes, and a crown of flowers. Rodarte is a label run by two of Portman’s oldest friends, Kate and Laura Mulleavy.
