It has been confirmed that Natalie Portman will take on the role of America’s most famous First Lady, Jacqueiline Kennedy, in the film that is set t be produced by Darren Aronofsky (who also produced Black Swan), directed by Pablo Larrain and based on a screenplay by Noah Oppenheim. The story will centre around the days immediately after her husband John F. Kennedy’s assassination in 1963.

Natalie Portman stepped into the role after Rachel Weisz, who originally took on the part whilst she was engaged to Aronofsky, stepped back from the film when she and the producer split.
