We think more about our skincare routine morning and evening, but do we think about the skin on our head, our scalps are neglected. I usually double shampoo and condition and then use a thickening spray on my roots and a conditioning cream on my ends, I love Aveda’s Thickening Tonic, it gives lots of volume but my hair stays looking really soft and natural.
Aveda have added one more step to our hair care routine. They’ve introduced 3 quick steps to keep our scalp healthy with the help of their new collection.
Step 1: Exfoliate
Start with dry brushing the scalp with Pramasana Exfoliating Scalp Brush (£16.50). It has flexible, looped bristles to help loosen impurities and build up and prep scalp for cleansing – it increases micro-circulation to the scalp when used with massage. This cleansing for scalp and shampooing for hair.
Step 2: Cleanse
Massage the Pramasana Purifying Scalp Cleanser (£23.50) into the scalp before shampooing on wet hair. This product is mostly natural and it works to exfoliate and leave scalp invigorated and refreshed.
Step 3: Balance & Protect
Apply Paramasana Protective Scalp Concentrate ( £35) to the scalp after showering, while your hair is still damp. This is also a mostly natural product and it works to nourish and help preserve the scalp’s natural protective barrier, while helping to protect from pollution and other free radicals.
If you use lots of product on your hair and feel like your scalp needs some TLC this will really make a difference to your overall hair appearance too. Healthy scalp, healthy hair.
