Forget fad diets – we’ve been on the hunt for some new cookbooks that have taken a more hearty approach.
Now, we’re not talking about stuffing your face with chips and other forms of fried deliciousness, but we’re not going to leave you starving either.
So here are some cookbooks that have caught our eye this year…
Fearne Cotton – Cook Happy, Cook Healthy
Fearne Cotton’s latest cookbook reads: “Delicious recipes to make life just that bit healthier and a lot easier.”
She’s known to for great ways to eat well and clean, and this is exactly what she’s brought to her first cookbook – a happy and a healthy approach and that chocolate cake on the front cover is all we need to see really – you don’t need to ask us twice, we’re sold!
Fearne’s book is full of easy, fast and healthy recipes for everything from breakfast and speedy suppers to baked treats. Delicious dishes include Quick Granola, Courgette Fritters with Herby Yoghurt Dip, Halloumi and Roasted Beetroot Salad, and Almond and Apricot Biscuits.
Cook happy, Cook healthy was released in June and is now available to purchase.
Nicola ‘Milly’ Millbank – Milly Cookbook
She’s an actress by day – you may have seen her in Mr. Selfridge, Mount Pleasant and Silent Witness – but by night, she’s is the ultimate cook. Her latest book, Milly’s Real Food, says goodbye to fab diets. She has created home-cooked recipes and comforting classics in the healthy, fad-free way without jeopardising taste. Her inspiration has come from the Mediterranean to Asian, with a twist of Nordic simplicity, she advocates using fresh produce, eating a varied diet and having fun with food.
We think the recipes look delicious but we’ll have to wait to try them out until next year because the book doesn’t come out until 4th May 2017 and it will be priced at £20.
Chrissy Teigen – Cravings
Although Chrissy’s book has been around for a while, we can’t help but include it. She really does give you the best of both worlds and she doesn’t hold back on the cheese 😉
We’ve not yet tried all of the recipes, but would definitely recommend the fish. We’ve also got our eye on the biscuits and gravy and before you say – it’s not what you think, they sounds delicious!
