The touching feel-good road trip comedy, Burn Burn Burn is set to receive it’s world premiere at the 59th BFI Film Festival.
The melancholic comedy follows two girls, Seph (Laura Carmicahael – Downton Abbey) and Alex (Chloe Pirrie) as they embark on a road trip around the UK, following the death of their friend Dan (Jack Farthing).
With the big task of scattering their dear friend’s ashes; and the opportunity to come to terms with his death, the girls set off on their trip. Dan left them with a series of video diaries with instructions from beyond the grave, while his ashes sit in a tupperware box in the glove compartment. Burn Burn Burn is about grief and friendship; and sees Alex and Seph depart on their last trip with Dan, encountering new friends, old family, and are forced to answer questions about their own lives.
Written by Charloe Covell (which you may know his E4’s hit series Banana), and directional debut from one of Britain’s most promising filmmakers, Chanya Button; Burn Burn Burn will be premiered on Thursday 15th October at Cineworld Haymarket, and on Sunday 19th October at Hackney Picturehouse.
