Bryan Ferry has released his new music video for ‘Johnny and Mary’ – a cover of the original 1980 track by Robert Palmer, for his most recent album ‘Avonmore’ which is out now.
Ferry dug out the heartbreak in this track by slowing it down and giving it a more echo-y, real and tempered feel. It is filmed entirely in black and white and was shot at the Chateau Marmont and Wolf’s Lair Castle and stars model Eliza Cummings.

Bryan says; “I have always liked Robert Palmer’s beautiful song ‘Johnny & Mary’ with its haunting lyrics… Initially we tried it fast like the original, but later Terje gave it a different slower feel, which was much better. I played some piano on this version which I hope compliments Terje’s futuristic programming. It is a real pleasure to collaborate with such a talent.”
