The new Velvet Lip Glide from NARS aims to combine the best qualities of both lip gloss and lipstick. The product, launching next month, offers a semi-matte finish and provides the convenience of a gloss fused with the coverage of a lipstick. The lip glide is made with NARS’ oil infusion complex for smooth application features a sleek design and plush applicator.
It comes in thirteen bold shades with saucy names inspired by the sexual revolution of the 1970s— I’m obsessed with “Playpen” (a classic pink coral), “Deviant” (deep burgundy, perfect for fall), and “No. 54” (that perfect red you’ve been looking for). François Nars praises the product as “Soft yet strong. Effortless and intense. Polished and provocative” what more could you want from a lip color?
