Transitions are tough. And never more so than the transeasonal intermission between the end of summer and the start of autumn. Saying goodbye to the insouciance of summer beauty; the carefree hair, minimal make up and splashes of neon brights, and switching to a more considered approach to the new seasons’ trends. So whilst we’re hankering after the promise of an Indian summer and holding off on the darker, moodier make up trends, nail shades are one area we can happily start to dabble.
Ultra-striking against still-tanned skin, this season molten metallic manicures, shimmering nude tan tones, murky opaques and sumptuous jewel tones are all bang on trend – and almost too decadent to be tampered with. Keep nail art, wraps and inverted moon manicures to the flash of a single finger and keep the rest of your polish pared back, immaculate and super glossy.
