Tom Hanks plays yet another real-life character in Bridge of Spies; telling the story of James Donovan, a Brooklyn insurance claims lawyer who finds himself wound up at the centre of a tense spy exchange during the height of the Cold War. After a strange set of circumstances which lands Donovan in an unlikely situation, the CIA sends Donovan to complete a near-impossible task of negotiating the prisoner exchange of a captured American U-2 pilot, to bring him back home.
