Denzel Washington and Viola Davis star in a new drama from Paramount Pictures.
Based on the Pulitzer prize winning play by August Wilson, Fences explores racial struggles in the US in the 1950s. The film, directed by Washington, focuses on the life of Troy (Washington) and his wife Rose (Davis) as they raise their son (Jovan Adepo).
The trailer shows Troy’s son confronting him and asking him the question: “Do you like me?” By the looks of it, Troy sees this as an opportunity to teach his son a valuable lesson – a bit of reverse psychology if you ask us.
It looks like this is going to be a very intense one and there’s even a talk of an Oscar for Viola but we guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
We can’t wait to see Fences, out in cinemas soon.
