Elle Fanning and Nicole Kidman star in How To Talk To Girls At Parties, based on the short story of the birth of punk by Neil Gaiman.
Set in 1977 in London (Croydon to be exact), the story’s hero is teenager Henry, better known as Enn (Alex Shar). Accompanied by his two friends John and Vic, the three go on a search of an adventure and a night to remember. Desperate to fit in and be taken seriously by local punk matriarch Boadicea and her followers, they hear of a party not far away and decide to gatecrash.
However on their arrival, nothing is as they expected. The house appears to be full of exotic, foreign, unbelievably gorgeous teenage students and the boys think that they’re American – what else could they be… right?
As any teenage boy, soon Enn is way over his head (and heart) with a beautiful girl, Zan – an outsider just like him. As Enn becomes her ambassador to a brave new world of punk, partying and music, he learns that Zen has a new world of her own to share (quite literally) and over the course of 24 hours, the two go on an adventure that is truly out of this world.
