Warner Bros. has released their official trailer for IRRATIONAL MAN, the 50th feature film by Woody Allen – starring Joaquin Phoenix, Emma Stone, Parker Posey and Jamie Blackley.
Irrational Man is a story of Philosophy Professor, Abe Lucas (Joaquin Phoenix) who is at rock bottom in life, unable to find any joy or meaning in his life. Soon after he arrives to teach at a small town college, Abe gets involved with two women, Rita (Parker Posey) a lovely professor who wants out from her unhappy marriage; and his student, Jill (Emma Stone) whom he becomes extremely close to.
Jill becomes intrigued by Abe’s personality, even as he displays signs of mental imbalance – her fascination only grows for him. He keeps her at arms distance, but pure chance changes everything and when Abe and Jill overhear a stranger’s conversation, they become drawn in.
Abe makes a serious life choice, and he is able to embrace his own life to the fullest again. But his decision sets off a chain of happenings that will affect him, Jill and Rita forever.Watch the trailer here;
