Set in the 50’s post-war in London, renowned dressmaker Raynolds Woodcock (Daniel Day-Lewis) and his sister Cyril (Lesley Manville) are at the center of British fashion, dressing royalty, movie stars, heiresses, socialites, debutants and dames with the distinct style of their House of Woodcock.
Through his life, Woodcock saw women come and go, providing the confirmed bachelor with the inspiration and companionship he needed. Until one day, he came across a young, strong-willed woman, Alma (Vicky Krieps), who soon becomes his muse and lover. Woodcock soon sees his once controlled and planned life disrupted by love.
