Five years ago, on 13th October 2010; 33 Chilean miners were rescued after being trapped underground for 69 days following a deadly mine explosion.

Based on the real-life event; The 33 tells the gripping story of the men trapped underground and their incredible survival journey.
Disaster strikes on 5th August, as a copper and gold mine collapses in Chile, ambushing the 33 men. With more than 2000 feet of rock in between them and the outside world, members of the rescue team work tirelessly for 69 days in a desperate attempt to save the seemingly doomed men. As the world, their freinds and family wait anxiously for any sign of hope as time was quickly running out. Beneath the rubble, the miners began an epic quest to survive, and the film takes us to Earth’s darkest depths as the men contend with dealing with the suffocating heat and the life threatening need for food and water.
The 33 embodies a never-seen-before personal journey that ensued both under and above ground; which became a global phenomenon.
