As soon as we hear there’s a new Ryan Reynolds movie due out, we can’t load the brand new trailer fast enough. But this one is a little different to The Proposal and Definitely Maybe type films of bygone Reynolds days. The Captive takes us on an eery, disturbing and mind bendingly intriguing journey into investigating the disappearance of a girl, Cassandra, who was taken from her father’s (Ryan Reynolds) car on a day when nothing seemed out of the ordinary.
Eight years after the disappearance of Cassandra, some disturbing indications seem to indicate that she’s still alive. Police, parents and Cassandra herself, will try to unravel the mystery of her disappearance.
