
This is the sort of film that, if you haven’t read the book, you hear about, think ‘well that sounds nice’ and have very little intention of actually going to see. A Cordon Bleu chef and restaurateur in the South of France is knocked out of her comfort zone by an Indian family who decide to open up their own restaurant nearby. It is the journey of an eventual meeting of minds, and of young hearts. Sweet.

Upon seeing the trailer the Beauty And The Dirt office fell in love. We fell in love with the setting, the direction, and of course with Manish Dayal, the beautiful actor taking on the role of the young proficient chef, previously of 90210 fame. We can’t wait to see it after its release this August.
It’s based on the novel of the same name by Richard C. Morais, directed by Chocolat director Lasse Halstrom and produced by none other than Steven Spielberg and Oprah Winfrey. Watch the trailer below.
