A new world record for has been set in Hong Kong for the longest catwalk – at a whopping 3.2 kilometers! The catwalk was a collaboration between the Danish Fashion Institute and the Hong Kong Fashion Designer’s Association, and used the city’s impressive skyline as the backdrop to the fashion show.
“We had 158 models dressed in Danish fashion on this extraordinarily impressive catwalk today,” said Eva Kruse, CEO of the Danish Fashion Institute. “I was very proud when I saw them walk down the runway with the gorgeous Hong Kong skyline as backdrop. Simply put, it was the best of Danish Fashion presented in the most beautiful of international settings.”
Copenhagen’s Mayor of Culture, Pia Allersley, flew in especially for the event and coined it, “a cultural meeting between East and West”. The occasion was marked with the presentation of the official Guinness Book of World Records diploma to representatives from both establishments.
