Eighty years ago, Olverum original bath oil was created by winemaker Franz Otto Klein and his pharmacologist wife, Edith. Ahead of their time, being passionate about natural wellness, they had curated a huge library of the world’s finest essential oils. Inspired by the therapeutic blends that they found in their favourite spa in Baden Baden, they combined these with their own expertise to create a wonderful therapeutic oil. They handed their oil out to friends as Christmas presents and everyone loved the oil so much, they decided to launch it as Olverum, making them one of the earliest pioneers of green beauty. Their recipe has been closely-guarded for the last 87 years, and Olverum bath oil is now a cult beauty classic.
This year we now welcome the relaunch of the Olverum brand and a new line of body oils simply named The Body Oil and The Dry Body Oil. Carefully crafted with over 30 premium essential oils, cold-pressed botanical oils and extracts, these oils feature collagen and Hyaluronic acid, both boosted in their effectiveness by the addition of a unique aquatic botanical, Alaria Esculenta Extract. I love a body oil spray as the quickest and most nourishing way to moisturise post shower and the Olverum oil has the added bonus of the uplifting smell of that blend of oils to please your senses too.
The Body Oil contains Lavender Flower oil to de-stress, Sandalwood and Frankincense oils to soothe and Bergamot and Geranium Flower Oils to reinvigorate. The Dry Body Oil it super fine and ultra light, and contains Atlas Cedar Bark Oil to uplift, Sandalwood and Frankincense Oils to soothe and Bergamot and Bitter Orange Leaf Oils to reinvigorate. All ingredients are cruelty-free and vegan and contain no parabens or artificial preservatives. The Body Oil is £40 and The Dry Body Oil is £36 for 100ml from Olverum.
