Omorovicza, the Budapest skincare brand is one of my all-time favourites. I love the pure luxury of its feel on the skin and I love its capacity for performance. I have so many favourites. I’m never without a mud mask or a mist and their moisturiser is transformative.
I just tried the Moor Cream Cleanser (£49). It goes on with the texture of a mask, super creamy but with a little extra tingle. It feels super smooth and as you rub it in, the smell of exotic essential oils is exhilarating. It feels rich, it feels light and indulgent and with exfoliating properties. It’s halfway between the mud mask and the cleansing balm. It rinses off super swiftly and you still have that feeling of revitalised skin.
I’ve actually been suffering from the heat and my face coming out in raised blotches. The Moor Cleanser has such a purifying and detoxifying cleverness it’s really helped smooth out my skin and reduce the bumps and the red blotches. As well as its gorgeous blend of essential oils it has an antiseptic and antimicrobial property – zinc oxide which soothes the skin and regulates the product of sebum.
The Omorovicza range is all created in Hungary and this cleanser comes from Hungarian Moor Mud, rich in calcium and magnesium. The whole range is based on the curative properties of Hungarian thermal waters.
I love the fact that this cleanser feels part mask and it has an instant illuminating effect on the skin. It’s quick and it’s clarifying and on those days where you really need help but you don’t have time or cash for a full on facial, it’s quite amazing to see what one powerful cleanser can do. Luxuriate.
