One Day Without Shoes

April 10, 2012

One Day Without Shoes

Today, TOMS is asking the world to go without shoes in honour of its’ annual One Day Without Shoes event. With the founding philosophy of One For One – that for each pair of TOMS footwear purchased, the brand will give a pair of shoes to a child in need – each year TOMS seeks to raise awareness of the impact that a single pair of shoes can have on a child’s life, preventing them from injury and disease. Last year people went barefoot at over 1000 events in over 25 countries around the world, and this year you can join in the footwear-free fun.

If you’re in London, head down to The Southbank Centre today between 12 and 7 pm, where a footloose and fancy free festival featuring music, food, arts and crafts and other barefoot happenings, will be taking place, followed by a barefoot walk towards the London Eye at 6 pm, with treats for all those who turn up shoeless.

For just one day, show your support by going without shoes so kids don’t have to.

You can also show your support for the campaign online by using the hashtag #withoutshoes, and for more information visit www.onedaywithoutshoes.com
