We first fell in love with chunky lug sole shoes at the Met Gala when we spotted both Alicia Vikander and Selena Gomez in a pair of Louis Vuitton’s on the red carpet.

We absolutely love the look of these so we’ve decided to share some of our faves out at the minute. Though these are a little bit more up market, they’re major shoe goals and we will definitely be taking inspo from them…

Mulberry Lace-up shoes £555

We absolutely adore these babies – the red laces against the black polished finish of the shoe is giving us some major ‘something out of a Tim Burton film’ vibes, especially with Halloween coming up.

Burberry Cut-out platforms £1,195

These corset inspired leather and snakeskin cut-out platform boots look killer and they also come in military olive, burgundy red, dark chocolate, garnet pink, deep green and teal green.

Featuring their signature Louis Vuitton leather, we love how they’ve brought a bit of fun to the shoe with the stitched on patches giving it a playful feel.
