Sunday kicked off Spring/Summer 2017 Haute Couture week in Paris. The star-studded runways featured looks with feathers, sequins, and of course, styles that the rest of us “commoners” would never try to pull off. The shows continue through Thursday, flaunting the biggest names in haute couture and what they dare us to wear this season.
Chanel made headlines on Wednesday, with a completely mirrored runway, making it impossible to look at anything but the collection. Models like Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner graced the runway, turning heads in plunging styles; Bella in a navy belted pantsuit, and Kendall in a silver belted dress with feathers and a sheer bottom. Most notably however, was 17-year-old daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, Lily-Rose Depp. Depp closed the show in a blush-colored frilly bridal gown with oversized sleeves and skirt.

Dior presented its latest Haute Couture collection on Tuesday, transporting their guests to a modern-day fairy world. Moss and vines covered the runway, which was lined with hedges. Models strut down the nature-like runway wearing enchanting gowns with floral designs, and matching statement necklaces and hairpieces.

Another noteworthy show so far this week has been Versace. In contrast to shows like Chanel and Dior, Versace emphasized a dark runway theme and obtuse shapes and movement incorporated into the collection. Bella Hadid was back on the runway for the Versace show, as well as model pals Taylor Hill and Stella Maxwell.
