BATD have recently come across something rather wonderful. A service that is sure to brighten any party preparation time right up, boost girly morale in the office and up the ante for a girls’ night in. Party pamper experts Glo are essentially a nationwide army of beauty professionals, all armed to pamper, primp and preen wherever you might be located. Celebrity clients have included the likes of The Saturdays and Nicole Scherzinger, and they recently attended a girls’ night in that I attended in aid of Cancer Research.
As Lychee Martinis circulated and canapes were handed around, two lovely Glo took to a side-room, giving beauty treatments to every guest. This was all part of the Bliss Package, which for £25 per person, offers either 1 x 30 minute treatment, or 2 x 15 minute treatment to each person. The Bliss Package is available for groups made up of between 6 – 24 people, and the treatments available at this particular party were full manicures, full pedicures (each 30 minutes long) or express manis, express pedis, brow shaping, and Indian head massages. Sound appealing? It was gorgeous. Every guest felt pampered and well looked after, and most were boasting glossy new manicures by the end of the night. The beauty experts were friendly and talkative as well as superbly talented in their pampering ways. The evening would not have been the same without it.
Other packages include makeover services and hair styling. Imagine getting ready for a Christmas night out without the usual flurry of half-falling out rollers and accidental mascara smudges, and instead reclining back, glass of bubbly in hand, whilst someone else did it for you in the comfort of your own home. What better excuse could there be to get the girls together pre-party and head out together, thoroughly transformed. Think Sandra Bullock striding out in heels after her Michael Cane-supervised makeover in Miss Congeniality.
The Glo girls will also travel to offices, should anyone feel like a mid-week beauty boost, or even a pre-Christmas party makeover.
