Paris Fashion Week has proven to be just as, if not more glamorous than London’s, New York’s, and Milan’s. Star power was in full force, filling the front rows of every show to watch their favorite couture designers display their latest masterpieces. Every collection was beyond gorgeous, but we’ve managed to narrow the festivities down to a few of our favorites.
Balenciaga’s Wednesday show brought the unexpected, starting with the time slot. Known for his usual early-bird 9:00 AM shows, creative director Alexander Wang decided on an 8:00 PM showcase this year. Wang discussed his unusual choice, explaining, “I wanted to change the energy, change the vibe, change the location.” The event was held under a black tent and over an empty glass-covered fountain with vapors seen swirling beneath. The modification certainly reflected the aesthetic of the brand’s Spring 2015 collection, filled with dark, structured coats with many of the models sporting sunglasses. The occasional lighter colors with delicate embellishments were unexpected, yet fit in cohesively with the rest of the collection.
The West family sat front row at the event, extending their congratulations to creative director Alexander Wang after the show.
More clean lines and simple designs were featured at Céline’s Spring 2015 showcase, each piece unique made unique in its own right by the usage of various colors, textures, and materials. Creative director Phoebe Philo chose to incorporate smoother fabrics with leathers, sweater knits, and retro-inspired floral prints to create a varied collection that still fits together quite nicely. Our favorite aspect of the collection was probably the use of chunky knits on unexpected, slim silhouettes that ended up looking perfectly put together.
Kanye West was spotted sans wife Kim and daughter North in the front row.
Chloé, as per usual, made for a flawless showcase on Sunday. The feminine, effortless designs epitomized the vision that original founder Gaby Aghion had for the brand when it first started in 1952, and paid great homage to the designer who sadly passed away just a day before the Spring 2015 show. Current designer Clare Waight Keller describes the collection as having, “laces that had flowers and birds, and the idea of utilitarian cotton and denim that, as you wear it, it ages and starts to tell the story of your life.” The perfect mixture of flowy, gauzy mini dresses with sturdier, more structured denim and suede ensembles achieved just that aesthetic, leaving us coveting every last piece.

Singer Ellie Goulding also sat front row for the Spring 2015 show.
Riccardo Tisci’s vision for Givenchy’s Spring 2015 collection was clear: A strong, sexy, intimidating woman mixed with medieval and rock ‘n roll-inspired details. “Basically I’m going back to what I was doing in the beginning, 10 years ago at Givenchy when I arrived,” the designer explained before the show. Looks seen on the runway incorporated lots of leather, lace, chiffon, and lace-up corset dresses. The black/brown/pink/cream color palette unifies the different textures and materials in one cohesive, fierce collection.
Kendall Jenner’s brother-in-law, sister, and niece supported the model from the front row.
The Wests sitting front row at Givenchy. We are officially beyond jealous of a 1-year-old.
Ciara, a close friend of Kim’s, was seated next to the family in the front row as well.
