Prince Harry was kicking school girl hearts into touch this week at Twickenham Stadium when he joined rugby legend Jason Robinson OBE at the sports ground to join a lucky group of school children in a training session. It marked Prince Harry’s first visit in his new role as Patron of All Schools, which is the Rugby Football Union’s programme that has been set up to encourage and help more secondary state schools to start playing rugby.
Jason Robinson OBE said of the occasion ‘It’s great to see so many students from up and down the country taking up the game and embracing the core values that make the sport so special. They have only been playing rugby union for just over a year and I’m sure that having the opportunity to meet Prince Harry and play on the famous pitch at Twickenham will inspire them to keep playing for many years to come’.
