Since Britney’s Spears’ ‘Blackout’ comeback album in 2007, the pop star has quickly risen back up the music charts. Her new albums and hit singles have made her more popular than ever before.
Luckily for us (and our Spotify playlists), she has confirmed she will release her eighth studio album later this year.

Spears is collaborating with will.i.am and Madonna’s producer, William Orbit, on the upcoming album. She noted that the music “will have more of a cool approach to it.”
The singer revealed that she thinks fans will be surprised by the new tracks.”It’s definitely at the beginning stage right now,” Spears said during an interview on On Air With Ryan Seacrest. “I want to make it a little different from anything I’ve ever done.”
Spears premiered her new single ‘Ooh La La’ earlier this week. It has been recorded for the soundtrack of the forthcoming The Smurfs 2 movie. Spears also mentioned that her two adorable sons, Sean Preston, 7, and Jayden, 6, make a cameo role in the ‘Ooh La La’ music video.
“They were actually really, really good on set,” she told Seacrest. “They were, like, acting, and my oldest son, Preston, was right on cue every time they would tell him to do something … Later on I got to see what they actually did on camera and it was adorable.”
Are Spears’ sons going to take over the family business? Only time will tell.
